Littlestarblog On The Road – London’s Old Spitalfields Market !

Today I would like to invite you to join me on a brief but colorful visual tour of one of my favorite London markets – the award-winning Old Spitalfields Market !

Untitled 2 3

This historic Victorian market hall is located near Liverpool Street Station and can trace its origins back as far as the 13th Century. Following an extensive re-development in recent years,  Old Spitalfields Market is now wildly considered to be one of London’s top markets, offering anything from food, fashion and antiques to art. It is open seven days a week, but Sunday’s market is particularly busy and really worth a trip.

I happened to visit the market on a chilly morning in early March but was so mesmerized by it’s cheerful, bustling atmosphere that I simply forgot about the freezing temperatures and thoroughly enjoyed having a look around, chatting to vendors and discovering unexpected little treasures.

One trend in particular stood out – foxes ! Adorable foxes in any shape or form were simply everywhere and as you can see in the photo above, for good reason ! Foxes are definitely this spring/summer season’s owls so keep your eyes open for cute fox designs popping up everywhere…
