KeepCup – Protecting The Environment One Cup At A Time !

I am always on the lookout for new, sustainable products and Australian siblings Abigail
and Jamie Forsyth have come up with something so simple, so stylish and ingenious – you will wonder why you have never thought of it before.

First developed in Melbourne in 2009, the KeepCup is the world’s first barista standard reusable cup ! The cup comes in four standard sizes and fits under the group heads of most espresso machines. It is non-toxic, BPA-free, dishwasher safe, microwaveable and splash-proof (thanks to a seal in the lid) ! The KeepCup fits into most car cup holders, many bicycle bottle holders and also into almost all stroller cup holders but most importantly – it is environmentally friendly !!!

Every year, 500 billion disposable cups are manufactured globally, which amounts to about 75 disposable cups for every person on the planet. Since about 71% of the world’s paper supply still originates from diminishing forests, you can certainly imagine the horrific impact this alone has on the environment.

KeepCup is a great way to do a bit of your fair share and help the environment by cutting down on your paper cup use ! According to KeepCup, compared to a disposable paper cup (including coffee) it sees a 36-47% reduction in global warming, a 64-85% reduction in water use and a 91-92% reduction in landfill waste annually.

Just goo to the KeepCup Store to design your very own cup – with a seemingly endless number of gorgeous and fun color combinations to choose from, just picking one is quite the challenge !

This adorable cup – of which I own several versions, to match many different outfits – makes my daily school run almost bearable and would also be the perfect companion for your next trip to the playground or your way to work ! 😉
