Today I want to ramble a little about my favorite new app – Twitter’s Vine or as many like to call it – Instagram for video… It was acquired by Twitter last fall and launched for iPhone and iPod Touch a mere three weeks ago but has since then taken the social media world by storm – watch the Vine video below and find out why…

Vine, the newest and brightest star in the video-sharing sky allows its users to create and share six seconds long looping videos that are automatically stitched together. You can then share them with the world on Vine, Facebbok and Twitter… What makes Vine so drastically different is that the app offers no possibilities to alter the raw footage like our Instagram photos. There are no filters and no way to upload a pre-recorded video from the camera roll or add external audio. All Vine allows you to do is touch the screen to start taping and scroll up or down to see other videos – and it’s marvellous !

It’s marvellous because the Vine experience is raw, fresh and beautiful – what you see is really what you get… Something I am really excited about is that just like Twitter before it, Vine will become a powerful tool for real-time journalism and allow us to watch events uncensored as they unfold… Not only that, but it also challenges people’s creativity in new ways and just might give birth to a whole new art form. Vine also makes it easy to create new connections and deepen the ones you already have, thus making this latest web 2.o creation the perfect tool for internet and social media marketing – everyone from artists, stars, brands to bloggers will now be able to interact with their followers on a whole new level… the possibilities are truly endless !
I really am a huge fan and and can guarantee you – Vine is the next big thing ! So, if you haven’t done so already, join now, follow me if you like and take a look around the Vineverse ! 🙂
